Señora Wendy is a native Spanish speaker, raised in a Spanish speaking home and frequently visited her extended family in Madrid, Spain. She continued her Spanish language education in high school and college. She began an education in fine art in Philadelphia, and later graduated with a BS in Visual Communications from the University of Delaware. In 2002, she began her graphic design agency, Black Sheep Creative.
After the birth of her daughter in 2008, she was committed that she learn Spanish, but noticed a disconnect of how it was taught in schools. Through researching linguistics and language acquisition, she developed her own method of teaching Spanish that children would retain and speak. She launched this business and its program in Spring 2012 and since then continues to enjoy parent and teacher success stories.
